Brand Reveal: The Mulhern Group Architects

The Mulhern Group is an award-winning architecture firm that has made a big impact on Denver's infrastructure. Their brand is timeless designs with "providing the attention of a small firm with the professionalism of a large one". It was important to design a logo structure that would be very flexible and would be instantly recognizable on both business cards and large banners at project sites. For the mood board we drew inspiration from classic clean lines, a personal touch to design and the colors of the Rocky Mountains.

Color & Typography


Both color and typography were very important for the brand. We wanted both of these elements to be instantly recognizable in small amounts so it would compliment but not overwhelm imagery of their projects. This resulted in the trademark "Mulhern Blue" that would be pair with minimal greys and an accent of organic green. The serif font gives a classic and professional feel to the brand.

Logo Usage


The logo can be broken down into two sections, the icon and the typography. The icon, which is representative of a box or building box, can be used on its own as a logo. The typography portion incorporates the clean lines that are a focus of the firm's designs.
